The guy who wrote "Barbara Ann" is Iranian.
"Barbara Ann" isn't a Beach Boys original; the Regents originally recorded it four years earlier. As Wikipedia notes, the Boys' version features an uncredited Dean Torrence (of Jan and Dean fame) harmonizing with Wilson.
